Every summer, DTU students bring their energy and compassion to communities across Central Vietnam through meaningful volunteer programs. As part of the Green Summer 2024 campaign, DTU student volunteers carried out a practical and heartfelt project in Binh An Commune, Quang Ngai Province, focusing on improving access to clean water and promoting hygiene habits among children at a local primary school.

To support better learning conditions and daily hygiene practices, the students installed a new handwashing station at the school. This facility allows local pupils to have easier access to clean water and maintain good hygiene, contributing to a healthier and safer school environment.

Beyond installation, the volunteers also organized interactive learning sessions where children were guided on the importance of saving water, keeping their surroundings clean, and using water responsibly in everyday life. Through simple stories and demonstrations, the activity inspired students to build awareness and respect for natural resources from a young age.

The project was warmly welcomed by teachers, students, and local residents of Binh An Commune, who expressed appreciation for DTU’s continued engagement in community welfare activities. For the volunteers, the experience offered not only an opportunity to apply their technical skills but also to connect their academic learning with real-life social impact.

By taking small yet impactful actions, DTU students continue to demonstrate their commitment to environmental care and community development — nurturing awareness that every drop of water matters for a better future.
